What can the AI Travel Assistant do?

The AI assistant provides instant, RV-specific travel advice. You can chat with it to get route recommendations, ask about RV-safe roads, find safe stopping spots, and get weather-aware planning suggestions tailored to your specific rig dimensions.

How does AI route optimization work?

When you plan a route, the AI analyzes roads for RV safety based on the height, weight, and length you've entered for your vehicle. It also factors in your driving time and time of day to automatically suggest optimal stops.

What are Safe Stopping Places?

Safe Stopping Places are community-verified locations where RVers can safely park overnight, including rest areas, Walmart locations, Cracker Barrel restaurants, and truck stops. Each location has safety ratings covering noise levels, RV-friendliness, and available amenities.

How do I contribute a review for a safe stop?

After visiting a location, tap the location on the map and select "Add Review." Your contribution earns Road Rewards points and helps fellow RVers make informed decisions. Reviews include ratings for noise, amenities, and overall RV-friendliness.

How accurate is the fuel tracking?

Fuel tracking uses your vehicle's specific make, model, tank capacity, and actual fill-up data to calculate real MPG figures across trips. The more fill-ups you log, the more accurate your consumption estimates become.

Does the app track DEF and propane?

Yes. SafeStop RV 2.0 tracks diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) fill-ups and propane usage separately from fuel, giving diesel and propane RV owners a complete picture of their running costs.

Can I use the app offline?

Basic features and previously cached maps are available offline. You can log fuel and maintenance entries without a connection, and they'll sync when you're back online. Real-time fuel prices, AI features, and new route calculations require an internet connection.

How does campground discovery work?

The app integrates with Recreation.gov for federal campground data and Campflare for private campgrounds. You can filter results by RV site dimensions, hook-up types, and amenities, and read community reviews with real photos.

Does SafeStop RV support electric vehicles and tow vehicles?
